• Journaling

Hi, loves! I wanted to share with you many great reasons why you should journal. But first I would like to share with you my journal experience. I have been journaling since I was a little girl. Since then, I had made journaling a part of my daily life. I remember when I turned eight years, my aunt bought me my first diary as a birthday gift. It was the cutest diary I have ever seen. It was pink, with hearts and teddy bears on it. I was in love with my diary. When I first received it, I didn’t start writing in it until later on. I started to write about my day in my diary. That’s when I realized that I love to write. Throughout middle and high school, I always kept a journal. My journal was my therapy, I felt so relieved after writing down how I felt that day. As of today, I still have all my old journals. I love to read my old journals because it shows me how much I have grown into the woman I am today. It reminds me where I came from and there are memories that I don’t want to forget. That’s why I love to journal.

So here are some of the reason why I think everyone should journal. Journaling is a great way to express yourself. It’s a safe place to vent and share your secrets. As I got older, I’m learning you can’t always tell people everything. I believe it’s best to keep personal life to yourself. When I feel like I need to talk to someone, I like to write in my journal instead. Social media is another place where you should not share your personal life. I believe certain things should be kept hidden. Writing in your journal is the best thing because I know it’s secured, free and I’m not judged.

Journaling is not only for writing about your problems, but you can also write about good things. You can write about something good that happens to you. That way you can go back and relive that special moment. You can write about your goals, so you can keep track of your progress. You can remind yourself why you started and how you succeded. I like to do this so I can look back and see how far I came along. I love to write positive quotes in my journal. They are some days when I feel down and overwhelm with life. Sometimes I need to remind myself to stay positive. In my journal, I write positive letters to my future self. I enjoy reading these letters to myself because it helps me to stay motivated.

Those were some of the good things about journaling. I try to make it a priority to write in my journal every day. I love to journal before I go to bed. That’s when I feel like I have the most to talk about. There’s no certain time, you can journal anytime. Whenever you feel like you have so much on your mind. There’s no certain age, you can write whatever is in your heart. Just go ahead and let the paper listen. Journaling is a great therapy, it’s been a great thing to have a part of my life. I hope it can be a part of yours, too.

“Dear Journal, you’re the only one I can vent too. You don’t judge me or hurt me. You allow me to be myself. The pages are limitless. You are my freedom.”

I love journaling! And absolutely agree about it being therapy. I too have been journaling since I was a little girl, but I’ve been doing less these days, partly because I’m busier, but also because I have less need for it. I’m starting to share more friends and family, so I’ve been able to talk to them about the things I used to write about. I started keeping a bullet journal, which works much better for me now. I think it’ll always be a part of my life to some degree.

That’s awesome! Yes, I know life can be very busy. I try to write a page every night before I go to bed. If not, I write when I have a lot on my mind. But I would like to try a bullet journal. I’ve heard so many good things about it. Thank you and I’m so glad journaling will always be a part of your life. It’s a very good therapy. šŸ˜Š
